Spicy Cauliflower "Steaks"


  • 1 Head Cauliflower Cut into 1” “steaks”
  • 2 Tbsp. EVOO
  • ¼ C. Veggie Stock
  • 1-2 Hot Peppers Finely Chopped – To increase the heat of this dish use more peppers and their seeds.  Always cover fingertips in EVOO when chopping peppers to avoid burning your fingers.
  • 2-3 Cloves Garlic Chopped
  • 1 Onions Finely Chopped
  • Handful of Cilantro Roughly Chopped
  • 1 Tsp. Ground Cumin
  • 1 Tsp. Ground Coriander
  • 1 Tsp. Ground Turmeric
  • 1” Piece of Fresh Ginger Chopped (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. Tamari Sauce


  • Sauté garlic and hot peppers in large skillet over high heat with EVOO 1-2 min.
  • Add onion and continue to sauté over high heat for an additional 1-2 minutes
  • Add Cauliflower “steaks” and start process of browning them on all sides
  • Add Veggie Stock as necessary to keep ingredients from sticking
  • Continue to brown the “steaks” for approx. 20 minutes – cauliflower should become tender.
  • Add in Cumin, Coriander, Turmeric and (optional) chopped ginger.
  • Toss and coat the “steaks” with the spices evenly.
  • Turn off heat – Add Tamari Sauce - Sprinkle on chopped cilantro and SERVE!
