Power Porridge - This nutrient dense, inflammation fighting recipe is one of the best ways I know to start a cold winter morning. Feel free to play with the ingredients and adjust to your tastebuds...bon appetite!
*All ingredients may be purchased at Thrive online market or your local health food store*
- 2 Tbsp shredded coconut
- 1 Tbsp. ea. Pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds
- ¼ Cup Walnuts, Pecans or Cashews (your choice)
- 1 Tsp. ground cinnamon
- ½ Tsp. ground turmeric
- 1 Tbsp. local honey or maple syrup
- 1 Cup boiling water
- ¼ tsp. Celtic sea salt
Combine all ingredients in a Vitamix or other high powered blender on high until smooth.
Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and garnish with additional pumpkin seeds and nuts or add your favorite fruit and enjoy!
